AC FAQ

The questions we hear most about central and split AC, ducts, copper and maintenance.

How much does central AC cost?
It depends on area, number of rooms, unit type and duct and copper lengths. Send your drawings or room sizes for an itemised quote.
Central or split?
Central suits new villas and large spaces with a cleaner look; split is quicker and cheaper for separate rooms and existing homes.
How long does central AC installation take?
It depends on project size and construction stage. First-fix follows the build and final installation and commissioning take days. You get a clear timeline with the quote.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, warranty duration and terms are set out in the contract according to the work and units.
How many tons do I need?
It depends on area, sun exposure and insulation. We calculate loads per room.
Do you work outside Riyadh?
Yes. We are based in Riyadh and serve every region. See service areas.
Do you supply split ACs?
Yes, Basic, Dansat and Nikai in 18,000 and 30,000 BTU, supplied and installed.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes, periodic contracts for homes and commercial buildings covering cleaning, inspection and leak detection.
How many tons do I need?
It depends on area, floors, insulation and sun exposure. We calculate the load per room rather than guessing, so you do not buy oversized or undersized units.
Why does one room cool and another not?
Usually duct design or air balance. We check routes and sizes and balance airflow so every room gets its share.
Why does pressure testing matter?
It reveals leaks before ceilings are closed. Fixing a leak after finishing costs far more.
Linear or square diffusers?
Linear looks cleaner in modern interiors; square spreads air wider. We choose based on ceiling and space.
18,000 or 30,000 BTU?
18,000 BTU usually suits small to medium rooms; 30,000 BTU suits large majlis, halls and open areas. We confirm once we know the space.
Is ventilation enough for a hot warehouse?
It clearly reduces trapped heat; where staff work we may combine it with cooling. We decide after a site visit.
How often should I service my AC?
Ideally twice a year, before and after summer, with filters cleaned every one to two months depending on dust.
Why balance the air?
So airflow matches each room’s need instead of one room overcooling and another staying warm, which also reduces power use.
